It may seem like the hardest thing in your life that you are facing is eating right. There are so many obstacles that stand in your way when you are making healthy choices. Birthday parties, girls night out dinners, guys night, date night, and many more. 

Those occasions you feel like you need to indulge yourself with all the yummy foods. When you are dieting, there are going to be times that you slip up. You can just put that behind you and start again the next day. One unhealthy meal isn’t going to ruin everything.

Preparing yourself for your new lifestyle of eating the right foods for your body to lose weight is ideal. If you just old turkey cut all the things that you love and eat regularly, you are going to be completely unhappy and probably give up. When you are on the journey of eating healthier and wanting to lose weight, you may feel overwhelmed with deciding on meals and snacks to eat. You don’t want to make the wrong choices, but you need to have an idea to be prepared for. 

Do some research on recipes from Pinterest, Facebook, or ask your doctor for some ideas of things to have ready and prepared to snack on. If you already have the grapes, carrots, and celery cut up in your fridge ready to grab when you’re hungry, you are more likely to make that decision. Some simple ideas are:

1. Greek Yogurt and Berries

There is a great variety of nutrients that can be found in greek yogurt. It packs in the protein, calcium, and potassium. Add berries for antioxidants, and you have yourself a sweet treat while still being healthy. 

2. Celery Sticks and Cream Cheese

Celery is an awesome source of crunch for snacking. It is low carb and very few calories. The cream cheese added to it gives it more flavor and protein. It will fill you up and leave you satisfied without taking all of your calories for the day. 

3. Mixed Nuts

Nuts are a great form of healthy fats and they are full of nutrients. You can easily pack these in your purse to have an easy snack while you are running errands. They are filling and will help you to not want to keep snacking on and off. That is what gets people in trouble even with healthy foods. 

4. Apple Slices With Peanut Butter

Apples are a great source of fiber for you to snack on. They do have natural sugars in them, so if you are trying to stay low carb you wouldn’t want them often. Dipping them in peanut butter can give you that added flavor that you are looking for. When searching for a peanut butter you want to find the most natural form of it, without all the added sugars and things. 

5. Cucumber Slices With Hummus

Cucumbers are a great snack to eat when trying to find something to replace the crush of a chip. You can dip them in hummus, ranch, or another chip dip for a great way to trick the brain in thinking you’re eating chips and dip. You can bet that you will feel better after eating veggies and dip rather than the other. 

7. Hard-Boiled Eggs

A good snack to find is one that is going to help you stay full longer to reduce the amounts of snacks you eat. One with protein and vitamins is going to do that for you. Eggs are packed full of protein and vitamins. You can also add different seasonings to it to add some zing to your snack. Great for side items as well to your dinner for added protein.
